BRAI3N expands to AZ Oudenaarde: Neuromodulation closer to the patient
We are proud to announce that BRAI3N is expanding its expertise in neuromodulation to AZ Oudenaarde.
From April 2025, patients will also be able to go there for neuromodulation treatments.
Why this extension?
BRAI3N has been a center of expertise for neuromodulation in Ghent for years. Our scientific and clinical approach has proven effective in treating a variety of neurological and psychiatric disorders.
With the expansion to Oudenaarde, we want to make our treatments more accessible to patients in the region, so that they have to travel less far for treatments.
Start in psychiatry
Our first focus at AZ Oudenaarde is on the treatment of psychiatric disorders, such as depression and anxiety disorders.
Neuromodulation, including non-invasive techniques such as transcranial electrical (TES) and magnetic stimulation (TMS), can make an important difference for patients.
Gradual expansion into other domains
We start in psychiatry, but our ambitions go further.
In the coming months, we will gradually expand our treatments to other disorders, including: tinnitus, chronic pain such as fibromyalgia and neuropathic pain, but also neurocognitive disorders such as ADHD, concentration disorders, early dementia,...
What does this mean for patients?
Thanks to this expansion, patients in Oudenaarde and the surrounding area will have access to advanced treatments without having to travel to Ghent. Our approach remains the same: scientifically based, patient-centered and based on functional imaging such as the qEEG.
The future of BRAI3N
This step to AZ Oudenaarde is in line with our broader vision to make neuromodulation care more accessible.
We are also exploring opportunities in other regions to start up new branches.
